Do airlines allow diabetic needles on flights?

The Transportation Security Administration
(TSA) allows all necessary medical supplies
on flights. So, yes, you may take your
needles and medication for diabetes on an
airline in your carry on. However, you need
to "declare" them to the screening officers
and carry them in a way that they can be
seperated from your other items for
inspection. The diabetic needles may also
need to be accompanied by the prescribed insulin.

procedures for persons with medical or other
special needs which has more information. I
travel with co-workers who carry their
diabetes medicines and needles with them, and
we have never had a problem at an airport due
to their need to carry them. Here's the URL
