Do chia seeds really help diabetics?
Answered By Editor
Chia seeds do help with diabetes. When
taken, chia seeds form a gel in the stomach
creating a physical barrier between
carbohydrates and the digestive enzymes which
break down the carbohydrates. This slows
down the conversion of carbohydrates further
into sugar, thus reducing the sugar levels in
the body.
