What are the differences between Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes?
Answered By Editor
In Type 1 diabetes there is pancreatic beta
cell deficiency due to autoimmune disorders.
Antibodies are formed against beta cells
causing insulin deficiency.
In Type 2 diabetes there is insulin
resistance, not insulin deficiency. Type 2
diabetes occurs mostly due to lifestyle
factors such as high fat diet and low exercise.
